Hi Folks,
What a week! Progressive judge Janet Protasiewicz won the Wisconsin Supreme Court primary decisively, and the total statewide liberal vote tally was 54%-46%, an 8-point win. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out that the vote in Oneida County, our homebase, was only about 55% conservative. That’s a huge decline from only a few years ago, when we were bright red.
Wisconsinites showed that they want their democracy back.
No more bought and paid for judges, no more gerrymandering, no more abortion bans, no more voter suppression, no more MAGA insanity.
But we can’t rest. The general election for Wisconsin’s future happens on April 4th, 5 weeks away.
The Minocqua Brewing Company Super PAC put billboards up all over Madison, Milwaukee, Green Bay, Stevens Point, and Eau Claire early in January that supported Janet Protasiewicz because we were alarmed that this primary race seemed so invisible to most voters, and that many people didn’t seem to realize that this was a 4-way race in which two conservatives could win.
Well we’re not alarmed anymore. Janet won by more votes than the other two conservatives combined! We’re overjoyed that it seems like the entire country is watching this race and know how important it is—not only to Wisconsin but to America.
So between now and April 4th, we’re going focus on what we do best, getting progressives out to vote in Wisconsin’s hinterland.
Here’s what we’re hoping to do. We’ve already put this billboard up in Wausau and have received private donations to put up the exact same Billboards in Richland Center and Milwaukee (we know Milwaukee isn’t rural but when someone donates a lot of money for a sign there, we’re not gonna say no:)
We’d like to put these same signs up in the other smaller but blue cities around Wisconsin so that Democrats are reminded to vote on April 4th. These cities include Appleton, La Crosse, Rhinelander, Superior, Stevens Point, and Eau Claire.
The cost to get billboards up in all these remaining locations until April 4 is approximately $50K. We were able to raise pretty close to that number before the primary, and are hoping you can help with that again now. Here’s the link to donate.
Now, although a direct donation to this billboard project is the best way to directly help us get them up, part of our company’s mission is to donate a percentage of the proceeds of our beer sales back to the Super PAC so that WE ALL have some skin in the game to get Wisconsin back on track.
But now in addition to beer, we just released a new nitro-infused cold filtered coffee called WOKE that we hope will not only take off nationally, but will also help us raise even more money to “Make Wisconsin Sane Again.” Not only does this coffee taste great and have an extra creamy texture because it’s infused with nitrogen gas, but we can ship it anywhere in the U.S. because it’s not alcoholic. This issue has plagued us since day one because a LOT of people who want our beer can’t get. Why? Because Wisconsin’s arcane alcohol laws prohibit online shipping and gives beer distributors a chokehold over our industry.
So here is what we’re going to do. Because this race is so important, and because people from all over the country can buy our new WOKE Coffee, we’re going to double our normal political Super PAC donation from 5% to 10% for all WOKE coffee purchases between today and April 4th. In addition, we’ll throw in a free 6 pack of WOKE coffee to anyone who donates over $500 to get these billboards up over the course of this week (Sunday Feb 26 through Sunday March 5).
So that’s the deal. Please help us get these billboards up to help elect Judge Janet Protasiewicz by donating here. And please buy a LOT OF WOKE COFFEE so we can donate even more money to the cause.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for continuing to support the Minocqua Brewing Company.
Together, we can Make Wisconsin Great Again, one beer or can of coffee at a time.
