Minocqua Brewing Company Awarded Restaurant of the Month |
|

Discover Wisconsin has presented Minocqua Brewing Company with a plaque for Restaurant of the Month October 2007 for exemplifying Wisconsin Quality at its best. This is what they had to say:
"Once a month we highlight a restaurant in Wisconsin with outstanding food, service and atmosphere. The restaurant has no idea we’re checking it out for an award, and our Discover Wisconsin crews have to eat there a minimum of three times. This month’s restaurant pick is from the great vacation destination of Minocqua, and it is called the Minocqua Brewing Company. Located on Lake Minocqua, it offers great views, with a cozy beer garden outside. The restaurant is housed in a historic landmark building located on the city’s north shore. The beautiful brick building with green awnings was built in 1927 as a Masonic Temple, than transformed into a microbrewery and restaurant 70 years later. The restaurant interior is beautiful, with hardwood floors in the bar and beautiful wooden dining tables. The food is fantastic. My favorite menu item is the Beef & Brie sandwich, featuring succulent hand pulled beef, sautéed onions, and creamy Wisconsin Brie Cheese. Other popular menu items include the wood roasted chicken, Fish “N” Chips, and an Artisan Grilled Cheese Sandwich using aged Wisconsin cheddar. The Brewery has several house brews, like wheat, pale ale and wild rice lager, with additional seasonal brews. Open for lunch and dinner, this will become a favorite stop for you in the Island City. Congratulations to the Minocqua Brewing Company as our Restaurant Pick of the Month. You do Wisconsin proud."
